The Alchemist sort of reflects the different journeys like the book series from Cassandra Clare. In the story series of (City of Glass, City of Ashes, City of Glass) Clary Fray has to deal with her life as a shadow hunter and has to create her own self and follow her heart, but then she has to also deal with problems due to her family and love for someone that turns out to be family. Jace Wayland; her brother that she finds out about and they have to deal with their feelings of love for one another.. It's centered around her own adventure between the human world and the shadow hunter world that has been shut out of her life so then that she could be supposedly protected from the evil lurking there due to her father. She is finding her own personal legend through fighting against evil, learning more about herself, and dealing with "listening to her heart".
